Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leigh Ellison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanley Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Leigh Ellison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stanley Parker! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker misses with a series of wild punches.
Some wild striking there from Parker.
Ellison lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Parker gets a clinch. Parker misses with a hook to the ribs.
Parker has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Ellison is trying to keep an underhook but Parker manages to get the takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ellison is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Parker controlling the action here. Ellison really is a fat lump.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker stalling away here and it's allowed Ellison to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Ellison working a defensive guard here.
Parker throws a big right hand that misses. Parker passes Ellison's left leg - he's now in half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Parker in particular looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Parker is just content to waste time from the top position. Ellison takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Parker is fighting to break Ellison's control of his arms but Ellison is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Parker stands and throws Ellison's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Parker tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Parker throwing shots but missing, from side control. Parker happy to just control the position for now.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nice sprawl there from Parker as Ellison shoots in. Parker with the counter takedown but Ellison avoids it easily. Parker gets in close and instigates a clinch. Parker successfully pulls guard.
Parker wants to control the position but Ellison says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Parker trying to control but Ellison postures up.
Parker pushes Ellison off but Ellison dives into side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ellison tries for a kimura but Parker is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stanley Parker dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Parker tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Parker gets a clinch. Parker pulls guard. Parker lands a decent shot there. Parker wants to hit a switch here but Ellison passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Parker there! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parker avoids a series of strikes thrown by Ellison.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ellison misses with a head shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellison landing strikes from the mount and Parker is in trouble! Parker keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Parker tries to hold on but Ellison postures up. Ellison throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Parker because Ellison loaded up on that one. Parker swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Parker reaches up to try and control the position but Ellison seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Parker rolls and tries to escape and now Ellison has his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker tries to escape the position.
Parker has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Ellison. Parker tries to roll but Ellison sticks to his back.
Parker wants to control his opponent's hands but Ellison gets his hands free. Parker wants to get back to his feet. Parker defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Ellison's arms.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker rolls, trying to escape but Ellison keeps control of the position.
Ellison looking for the choke from the back. Ellison is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Parker has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Parker trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Parker tries to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Parker trying to get back to his feet but Ellison is in full control for now. Parker trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Parker is in a bad position with Ellison working for a choke. Parker manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment. Ellison has Parker pulled in close to control his posture. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Parker wants to stand but Ellison has a closed guard, so he can't escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leigh Ellison dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Ellison goes for a double leg but Parker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Parker continues to drive forward. Parker follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Parker moves into the clinch. Parker is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ellison is defending well for now. Parker ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Parker no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Parker is pulling down on Ellison's head to control his posture. Parker wants to stand up but Ellison is controlling him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ellison stands up and waves to Parker to follow him. Parker gets the takedown into side control. Parker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker trying to control the position but Ellison is working away. Parker happy to just control the position for now. Parker wants to stand but Ellison has his arm trapped.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Parker tries to get to his feet but Ellison is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Parker in his guard. Parker passes Ellison's left leg - he's now in half guard. Ellison is looking to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Parker is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Ellison might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Parker trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Ellison manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Parker looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ellison postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ellison got a little sloppy there for a moment and Parker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ellison has managed to get both his arms back between Parker's legs - danger averted. Parker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Parker trying to keep a closed guard but Ellison is proving a slippery customer.
Ellison postures up and lands a big shot to Parker's brow. Ellison trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Parker wants to stand and escape but Ellison is having none of it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Parker looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Stanley Parker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Parker feints and as Ellison raises his hands in defense, Parker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Stanley Parker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Parker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
