Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Willie Bader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pepe LePew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LePew is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Smoke Serpent- . The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Willie Bader!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pepe LePew!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bader fakes the leg kick and cracks LePew in the body.
LePew blocks the body kick.
LePew changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
LePew throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Bader counters with a crisp one two that drops LePew! Bader thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves LePew to his feet! LePew is in big trouble!


LePew is rocked!
LePew blocks a head kick by Bader.
LePew tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
A combination from Bader does no damage.

LePew shoots in and bounces Bader off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bader wants to get back to his feet but LePew is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Bader has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes LePew off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice body kick from Bader.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

LePew blocks the body kick.
LePew thinks about the counter body kick.
Bader throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
LePew is still on wobbly legs! Can Bader finish him?
Bader looks to throw a body kick

and LePew counters with a takedown into side control.
LePew seems to have recovered his senses.
Bader tries to escape but LePew is in control.
Bader takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Bader is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but LePew has just dragged him back down to the mat.
LePew misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

LePew is trying to get an arm triangle but Bader is defending well.
Bader is trying to buck LePew off.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
LePew trying to control the action but Bader is working from the bottom.
Bader takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw LePew working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
LePew is looking to take a break and control but Bader is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bader is trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bader prevents LePew from improving position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bader explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Bader throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

LePew fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bader avoids it really well and circles away.
Bader looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Bader keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Bader lands a jab-cross combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bader lands a nice looking kick to the body. LePew takes a step back to recover.
Bader throws a series of punches but LePew avoids them all with ease.
LePew with the counter takedown but Bader avoids it easily.
LePew shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bader as he avoids it easily.
Willie Bader has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pepe LePew.
Bader goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Bader misses with a double jab.
LePew drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bader defends it well.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bader. LePew does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bader swinging wildly here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Willie Bader dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bader throws a push kick but LePew slaps the foot to one side.
Bader lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Willie Bader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bader.

Bader lands a left and a right that send LePew crashing to the mat, dazed. Bader thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
LePew moves out of range of the body kick.
LePew has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and LePew decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bader's guard.
Bader is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Bader kicks LePew off and gets to his feet.
Bader throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
LePew slips under a jab.
Bader lands a nice looking body kick.
Bader moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

and LePew counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bader won't be happy with that.

Bader is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, LePew asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
LePew trying to control the action but Bader is working from the bottom.
Bader wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Bader is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that LePew can do to turn this around?

LePew won't let Bader get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

And Bader counters with a quick kick to the body but LePew blocks it.

LePew closes the distance and clinches up with Bader, looking for a takedown. LePew pushes Bader against the cage but Bader circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

LePew moves out of range of the body kick from Bader.
LePew drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bader defends it well.
Bader throws a front kick that sends LePew stumbling back into the cage.
Bader throws a head kick that misses.

LePew is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bader's half guard.

That's time! Bader's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


LePew takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
LePew looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Bader swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and LePew counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Bader is looking to escape.
LePew is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Bader is trying to stand back up but LePew is controlling him
LePew trying to control from half guard but Bader is working away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bader looks like he's trying to stand up.

LePew is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bader is not content to let LePew control the position.
Bader is trying to stand up here but LePew is controlling him well.
Bader trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Willie Bader is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

LePew is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
LePew with a poor takedown
and Bader counters with a series of strikes. LePew will be more careful next time no doubt.

and LePew counters with a low kick, right behind Bader 's knee.

Bader fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Nice takedown defense from Bader. No joy for LePew on that attempt.
Bader throws a big counter combination but LePew scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Bader feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bader thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed LePew's head.
Bader thows a huge punch but LePew dodges it nicely.

Bader wants to work for an arm triangle but LePew is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
LePew avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bader.

LePew utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bader controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bader postures up in LePew's guard and throws a big left but LePew blocks it.
Bader won't allow LePew to sweep him here.
LePew not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Bader gets to his feet - LePew follows without any prompting.
LePew showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bader.
Bader lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Pepe LePew has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bader looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Bader moves out of range as LePew throws a body kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
Willie Bader showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bader, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
