Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Burt Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Logan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Burt Watson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Logan! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Logan on his heels. He'll look to pass Logan's guard now, I'm sure. Watson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Watson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Logan on the ground. Logan wants to stand but Watson is controlling the position. Watson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Watson looking to pass the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Watson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Logan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Watson. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Logan shoots in looking for a takedown. Watson tries to sprawl out of it but Logan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Watson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Logan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Watson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Watson drives through with a takedown into guard. Logan wants to stand and escape but Watson is having none of it. Logan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Logan wants to stand but Watson is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Watson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Logan's guard. Watson is stalling in the full guard. Logan throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Logan wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Logan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Watson manages to get himself to full guard.
Watson is adopting a defensive guard. Watson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Watson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Logan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Watson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Logan landing with the ground and pound. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Watson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Watson drives through with a takedown into guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Logan keeping full guard, as Watson tries to pass. Watson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Burt Watson dominated that round. That's time! Watson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Logan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Watson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Watson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Logan can do to turn this around? Watson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Burt Watson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Watson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Logan is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Logan is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Watson scores with a couple of nice shots. Watson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Watson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Logan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Watson wants to pass to mount but Logan is defending the position. Watson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Logan slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Logan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Watson lands a couple of decent looking shots. Logan is trying to control the position but Watson postures up. Logan trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Logan misses with a double jab
and Watson counters with a nice uppercut. Logan has a takedown stuffed. Logan is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Watson pushes Logan away with a front kick. A momentary lapse in concentration from Logan enables Watson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Logan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Watson tries to free his leg and advance position but Logan is retaining full guard. Watson is in close to Logan's body, working some short punches and elbows. Logan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Watson content to stall in guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Watson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Watson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Logan tries to close the distance and clinch but Watson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Watson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Logan manages to circle out of the way. Watson lands a big head kick that sends Logan tumbling to the mat! Watson takes a step backwards and waves Logan back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Logan is rocked!
It looks like Joe Logan has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Watson closes the distance looking for a takedown. Watson picks Logan up and slams him brutally to the floor. Logan is out! He's out cold! Wow, you don't see a finish like that every day!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Burt Watson!
