Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jo Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eun Kyun Kim! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kim is looking to land body kicks. Kim lands with a kick to the temple. Silva shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Kim misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kim's waist but Kim gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side. Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kim as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jo Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. A thudding body kick lands there by Kim!

Kim throws a head kick that Silva semi-blocks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim scores with a nice strike. Silva has a takedown stuffed. Silva avoids the head kick by Kim.
Kim connects with a high kick. Kim looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Silva! Silva is breathing heavily. Silva in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Kim prevents Silva from getting the reversal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim looking to control and managing it successfully. Kim is working for a guillotine from mount but Silva frees his head quite easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kim takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva is in all sorts of trouble here.
Kim controlling the pace for now. Kim working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kim is standing up, even though he is in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eun Kyun Kim dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Silva on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Kim feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Kim changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kim wants to stand but Silva has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Silva looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kim passes into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kim stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva moves away from the strike by Kim. Silva tries for a takedown but Kim circles away easily and Kim counters with a nice leg kick. Kim pushes Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kim has Silva pushed against the cage. Kim pulls Silva into guard.
Silva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kim manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Silva has Kim in his guard. Kim is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kim trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Kim must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kim decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Silva misses with a takedown and Kim counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kim closes the distance and clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eun Kyun Kim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Silva moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Kim throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kim decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Silva gets full guard. Kim wanted to stand there but Silva had control of the position. Silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim stands up and waves to Silva to follow him. Jo Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva fails with the takedown and Kim counters with a slapping leg kick. Kim dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Silva. That did some damage! Kim throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Silva with a lazy takedown attempt and Kim counters with a head kick. That will keep Silva thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Silva takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Jo Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kim tries a head kick but it misses.
A head kick from Kim lands but Silva takes it in his stride. Silva takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Kim misses with a head kick.
Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kim counters by moving into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jo Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kim throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily. Kim looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Kim thows a body shot but no joy. Silva shoots and misses and Kim counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kim perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva wants to get back to full guard. Silva looking for submissions off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Eun Kyun Kim comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kim has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
