Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Sarnavskiy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alexander Sarnavskiy! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daniels tries to close the distance and clinch but Sarnavskiy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Horrible takedown attempt by Daniels or perhaps it was just good defense by Sarnavskiy, which made it look bad. Daniels closes the distance and clinches up with Sarnavskiy, looking for a takedown. Daniels pushes Sarnavskiy against the cage but Sarnavskiy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sarnavskiy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sarnavskiy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Daniels bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sarnavskiy's guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Daniels's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Sarnavskiy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Daniels. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Daniels pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sarnavskiy tries to roll over but Daniels keeps him under control. Daniels wants to take a breather but Sarnavskiy is having none of it. Sarnavskiy is concentrating on defense, preventing Daniels from advancing position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Daniels darts in looking for a takedown but Sarnavskiy gets double underhooks and turns Daniels into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Daniels. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sarnavskiy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Daniels. Daniels shoots in and drives through. Sarnavskiy sprawls well. Sarnavskiy drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Daniels defends it well. Daniels dives in for a single leg takedown but Sarnavskiy sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Jack Daniels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. And Sarnavskiy tries to counter it with a takedown but Daniels pushes his down on his head and steps out. No luck with that takedown attempt from Daniels. We've been informed that Sarnavskiy has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Daniels moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Sarnavskiy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Daniels to the mat! Daniels manages to get full guard. Sarnavskiy scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sarnavskiy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Daniels is keeping the position for now. Daniels misses with a takedown attempt - Sarnavskiy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jab, jab by Sarnavskiy - just one landing. Daniels looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sarnavskiy with the counter takedown but Daniels avoids it easily. The referee takes a look at Daniels to see if he's OK. Daniels is looking for a sweep. Sarnavskiy trying to control the action but Daniels is working from the bottom. Daniels wants to control but Sarnavskiy postures up. Daniels is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Sarnavskiy trying to control the position but Daniels is working away. Daniels makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Daniels. Sarnavskiy is in close to Daniels's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Daniels looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sarnavskiy is one step ahead there.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Sarnavskiy tries to clinch but Daniels moves out of range. Sarnavskiy scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Daniels doesn't seem bothered though. Sarnavskiy takes the fight into the clinch. Sarnavskiy trying to stall but Daniels improves his position.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Daniels as Sarnavskiy tries to tie him up. Daniels is working for takedown but Sarnavskiy is calmly controlling the position for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sarnavskiy tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Alexander Sarnavskiy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sarnavskiy. Sarnavskiy is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Daniels lands a big elbow. Sarnavskiy is squirming around, avoiding Daniels's attempts to control the action. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sarnavskiy can do anything to dispel that myth.

Daniels thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Sarnavskiy is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
