Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Paruweczka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piotr Paruweczka told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

No joy there for Paruweczka, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Turner changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Paruweczka looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Turner creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Paruweczka sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Turner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Turner dives in and grabs Paruweczka's left leg, looking for a takedown. Paruweczka pushes down on Turner's head and hops out.

Turner closes this distance looking for a takedown but Paruweczka circles away.
Paruweczka slaps away a takedown attempt from Turner, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Turner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Paruweczka is fending him off so far but Turner persists. Nope, Paruweczka circles away and we're back to standing.
Turner drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Paruweczka has cracked Turner with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Paruweczka lands another huge swinging hook and Turner tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Turner, before Paruweczka can land any more shots!
