Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Dundee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rabihia Nahas! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nahas leaves Dundee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. As Dundee backs off Nahas throws a huge counter combo but Dundee manages to avoid it all. Nahas has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Dundee is landing a low percentage of strikes. Dundee misses with a takedown attempt and Nahas holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Nahas has clasped his hands together around Dundee's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Nahas working the strikes but Dundee uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Nahas sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dundee defending well though. Nahas looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dundee with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Dundee wants to control but Nahas is keeping busy and won't allow it. Dundee avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nahas. Ground and pound from Nahas. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nahas throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Nahas not landing any meaningful shots this time. Nahas thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Nahas thows a huge punch but Dundee dodges it nicely.

Dundee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dundee kicks Nahas off and gets to his feet. Nahas throws a head kick but Dundee moves out of range.
Nahas shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nahas showed some decent athleticism there. Dundee is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Dundee manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Nahas is looking to work some ground and pound but Dundee has wrist control. Nahas throws a strike but Dundee rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dundee postures up in Nahas's guard and throws a big left but Nahas blocks it. Dundee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dundee would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Dundee stopping the sweep attempt from Nahas. Dundee works over Nahas with some ground and pound from guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nahas tries to land a sweep but no joy. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nahas can do anything to dispel that myth. That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dundee tries for a takedown but Nahas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dundee fails with a takedown attempt. Nahas tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dundee defends well and Nahas ends up having to push Dundee into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Michael Dundee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rabihia Nahas. Dundee is looking to control Nahas's arms but Nahas gets an underhook and turns him. Now Dundee has his back to the cage. Nahas is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dundee gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Dundee presses Nahas against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Dundee lands a body shot. Come on Dundee - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
