Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Liam Donnelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Perrin Aybara!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donnelly comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Aybara working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Donnelly escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aybara gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Aybara is working Donnelly over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Aybara accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Donnelly has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Aybara is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Donnelly.
You can see the frustration on Donnelly's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Aybara looks up at the clock and then as Donnelly takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Aybara smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Donnelly pushes a forearm under Aybara's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Aybara is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
