Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Prince Salas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kels Kels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prince Salas has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Prince Salas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kels Kels!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kels misses with a body punch
and Salas counters with a stiff right hand.
Salas circles away from the clinch attempt

and Salas counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Salas would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Kels looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kels wants to get back to his feet but Salas is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kels is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Salas defends well.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kels is on top in guard.

Salas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Salas working for a triangle but Kels defends it easily.
Salas throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Kels slips nicely into half guard.
Salas tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kels seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Salas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kels decides to stand up.
Kels tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Salas defends well and Kels ends up having to push Salas into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kels Kels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kels shoots in but Salas avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Salas fails with the takedown.
Kels misses with a kick to the body.
Kels closes the distance looking to clinch
and Salas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Salas pushes Kels up against the cage in a clinch.
Kels scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Salas misses with a knee to the head.

Kels has Salas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Salas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Prince Salas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kels Kels.
Salas tries to land knees in the clinch but Kels avoids the damage to the body.
Salas tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kels smiles and moves away.

Salas presses Kels against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Salas drags the fight down to the ground.
Kels throws an elbow that misses. Salas uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kels's guard. Nice move by Salas!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kels controls Salas momentarily but Salas frees himself.
Kels utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Salas dodges the punch combination from Kels.
Salas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Salas appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Salas leaves Kels with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kels pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Salas swats away the attempt to clinch by Kels.

and Salas makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kels looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Salas tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Salas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Salas had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kels defends it easily.

Kels is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Salas is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Salas has escaped and now he's on top!

Kels manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Salas manages to get himself to full guard.

Salas is pulling down on Kels's head to control his posture.

Salas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kels gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kels trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Salas manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Kels controls Salas momentarily but Salas frees himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Salas won't allow Kels to sweep him here.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Salas's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Salas scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Salas pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kels is keeping the position for now.
Salas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Salas trying to control but Kels is working from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kels throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Prince Salas dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Kels throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Kels shoots in for a takedown but Salas shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Salas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kels, pushing him back against the cage.
Kels is trying to break free.
Kels blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Salas jumps guard but Kels turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Kels drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Salas gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kels tries to pull guard but Salas forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Prince Salas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kels Kels.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kels accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Salas wants to stand up but Kels is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kels moves in looking to clinch but Salas pushes him off.
Kels tries to clinch up.

Salas closes the distance and pushes Kels back into the cage.
Salas prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kels takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Salas tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kels just stands there and leans against the cage.

Kels is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kels thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Kels is working an open guard so Salas takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Kels shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Salas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kels Kels is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kels tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Salas counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kels has his takedown stuffed
and Salas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Salas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Salas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kels on the ground.
Salas is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Salas gets to his feet - Kels follows without any prompting.

and Salas counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Salas.

Salas gets control of Kels's arms and successfully pulls guard. Salas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

And that's the end of the fight!
Prince Salas showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Salas has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
