Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bones Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axel Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Bones Jones has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Bones Jones seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bones Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Axel Johnson! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Chris Dean and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones lands with a kick to the temple. Johnson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Jones with a jab. Johnson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Johnson. Jones tried to counter with a leg kick but Johnson avoided it. Jones leaves Johnson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jones throws a combination. Johnson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Axel Johnson has been cut. Jones misses the jab. Jones throws the left hand but Johnson avoids the punch easily. Jones lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bones Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Axel Johnson. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Johnson is just out of range. Jones connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Johnson momentarily.
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jones is looking to slow Johnson down with leg kicks. Johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jones scores with a jab to the jaw. Johnson throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease. Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Johnson throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it. Jones throws out a powerful jab. Jones lands a nice shot that snaps Johnson's head back.
Johnson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jones counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Johnson thinking. Bones Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nice uppercut lands for Jones. That snapped Johnson's head back.
Johnson is rocked! Jones with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Johnson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones misses with a wild combination.
Johnson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Jones swings for the body but Johnson moves out of range.
Jones throws a combination. Johnson tries to block but a couple of punches get through. The crowd cheers as Jones lands an impressive looking overhand right. Johnson doesn't seem phased though. Jones tests Johnson's chin there with a solid looking shot. Johnson is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him? Jones bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Jones throws an overhand right that drops Johnson like a sack of potatoes! Jones dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bones Jones! Bones Jones seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
