Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joesay Eldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Weffart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joesay Eldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andrew Weffart!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Eldo with that takedown attempt.
Eldo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Weffart sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Eldo somewhat.
Weffart is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Weffart closes the distance and clinches up with Eldo, looking for a takedown. Weffart pushes Eldo against the cage but Eldo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Eldo dodges the punch combination from Weffart.
Weffart tries to bum rush Eldo with a series of wild strikes but Eldo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Weffart stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Eldo tries to clinch up but Weffart circles away and keeps his distance.
Weffart is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Eldo rushes Weffart and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Weffart jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Eldo walks away with a smile on his face. Weffart gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Eldo throws a head kick but Weffart moves out of range.
Weffart looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Weffart misses with a looping left.
Horrible takedown attempt by Weffart or perhaps it was just good defense by Eldo, which made it look bad.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Weffart can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Eldo controls the pace.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Eldo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Weffart tries to avoid it but Eldo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Weffart to the ground. Weffart escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
