Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Mays (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsuen Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mathew Mays! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tsuen Wong! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wong feints and as Mays raises his hands in defense, Wong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mays is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mays is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Wong with a nice head shot there. Mays controls Wong momentarily but Wong frees himself. Mays being controlled here, momentarily. Mays lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mays missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Mays wants to control from the top but Wong keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wong looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mays is one step ahead there. Mays is working Wong over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Mays will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mays seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mays won't allow Wong to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mays throwing strikes from guard but Wong blocks nicely. Mays is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Wong dives in and scores a takedown into Mays's guard. Wong passes into half guard. Mays wants to control but Wong is keeping busy.
Mays gets full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Wong stays in close to Mays's body and controls the position. Wong looking to pass the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mays is trying to keep Wong in close.
Mays is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wong is controlling him. Mays really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wong controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mays is trying to control the position but Wong postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mays throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mays pinned against the cage. Mays gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wong darts in looking for a takedown but Mays gets double underhooks and turns Wong into the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mays gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Mays has control of Wong's left arm, preventing Wong from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tsuen Wong dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Wong shoots in but Mays avoids the takedown attempt easily. Mays defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wong. Wong shoots and misses and Mays counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Wong is lucky that one didn't land flush. Mathew Mays has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tsuen Wong. Wong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mays but Mays pushes him off and we're back to square one. Tsuen Wong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mays gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wong to score an easy takedown into full guard. Tsuen Wong has got the better of the ground game so far. Mays looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Mays tries a head kick but it misses.
Mays sets himself, and Wong steps forward looking for the clinch! Mays avoids it this time. Wong displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mays throws out the jab. Mays tries to clinch but Wong moves out of range. Wong feints the counter takedown. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wong is defended easily by Mays. Mays doesn't manage to clinch there - Wong circles away.

Wong shoots in for a takedown but Mays shows good takedown defense. Mays throws a big shot that misses. Wong throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mays counters by moving into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wong ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wong no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Mays postures up.
Mays trying to control but Wong is working from the bottom. Mays is really struggling to control Wong but he's trying to hold on to the position. Wong pulls Mays in to control the position. Mays missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Mays throws a big elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Wong holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wong fails with a takedown attempt. Mays tries to clinch but Wong is having none of it. Wong shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wong showed some decent athleticism there. Mays manages to get to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wong slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wong tries to stand but Mays is controlling from the bottom. Mays working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wong manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Wong stands up over Mays, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Wong advances position into side control! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wong working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Tsuen Wong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Wong shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tsuen Wong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wong shoots in for a double leg but Mays sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mays throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mays tries to clinch but Wong moves out of range. Mays tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wong paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wong bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Oh Mays is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Wong is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mays is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Mays is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Wong is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mays has escaped the position, nice work there. Wong gets to mount! Mays was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Wong has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Mays is looking to get to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wong drops a big elbow. That's hurt Mays! More shots from Wong and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
