Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between PJ Hairston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Eric Robinson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eric Robinson! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robinson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Robinson holds on and takes a little breather. Robinson keeping moving, preventing Hairston from controlling successfully. Hairston stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Robinson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hairston won't allow Robinson to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hairston looking to pass the guard. Hairston passes Robinson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hairston has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hairston avoids the attempt from Robinson to control. Robinson is working to get back to half guard.

Robinson stops Hairston from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hairston tries to control but Robinson wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Robinson regains half guard. Hairston wants to work for an arm triangle but Robinson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hairston trying to advance position but Robinson counters by regaining guard. Robinson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hairston won't allow Robinson to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hairston drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Robinson dives on top into guard. Robinson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Robinson looking to pass the guard. Robinson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hairston wants to sweep but no luck. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Robinson is in close to Hairston's body, working some short punches and elbows. Robinson preventing the sweep. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Robinson showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Robinson wants to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robinson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Robinson sitting and controlling from the half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Robinson lands a nice short elbow. Hairston keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robinson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Well, if Robinson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hairston trying to control here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hairston rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Robinson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Robinson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Robinson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Hairston is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robinson tries to stand but Hairston is controlling his head. Hairston is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Robinson off and has taken his back! Robinson is keeping busy.
Robinson wants to get back to his feet. Despite being in a bad position, Robinson is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts. Hairston is controlling the position but Robinson somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Robinson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Robinson has control of Hairston's left arm, preventing Hairston from doing any damage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hairston throwing strikes but missing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Robinson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Robinson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hairston sprawls well. Hairston wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Robinson gets slowly back to his feet. Hairston tries to sprawl but Robinson drives through with a takedown into half guard. Robinson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robinson controlling the action here. Robinson passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Robinson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hairston is desperately trying to improve his position but Robinson has a good base and remains in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Robinson controlling from mount. Robinson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Robinson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Hairston has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hairston tries to reverse the position but Robinson maintains control. Robinson with the ground and pound from mount. Robinson controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robinson lands a couple of good shots and Hairston has given up his back, trying to escape the position! I would not like to be Hairston right now.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hairston trying to control the action but Robinson just sinks the hooks in. Robinson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Hairston defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Robinson just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Let's hope that Robinson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that's the end of the fight! Eric Robinson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Robinson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
