Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dick Stern!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wein lands with a hook. Stern tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Dick Stern has been cut.
Stern keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wein misses with an uppercut.
Stern scores with a shot to the body.
Stern pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Wein back to the cage. Stern follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Wein jabs at Stern's body.
Wein moves out of range of the body kick from Stern.
Stern throws a right and a left that Wein avoids nicely.
Stern connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Stern has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wein finds it's way round the side to connect with Stern's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stern throws a jab but it's blocked by Wein.
Wein is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stern.
Wein is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Wein uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stern.

Stern misses with a hook. Wein ducked under it nicely.
A little feinted left hand from Wein on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Nice defenses there by Wein.
Stern scores with a punch to the head.
Stern throws a leg kick but Wein sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Wein swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Stern tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wein swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stern's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Wein connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stern scrambles back to his feet.
Wein keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stern.
Stern throws a nice inside leg kick.
Wein on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Stern throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A head kick by Stern misses
enabling Wein to counter with a crisp jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stern darts in trying to clinch
and Wein counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Stern has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Stern slips a straight right by Wein.
Wein blocks a head kick by Stern.
Stern fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Wein checks it well.
Wein dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Wein misses the target.
Stern is looking for the big counter here.

Wein throws a lazy right hand but Stern sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A countering left hand to the body from Stern misses.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Stern, right into the meat.
Stern throws a leg kick which misses Wein's front leg but catches the back leg as Wein tries to avoid it.
Stern uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wein.

Wein throws a jab but it's blocked by Stern.
Stern turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Wein swinging wildly here.
Wein misses with an uppercut.
Stern is trying to counter with his kicks.

Stern misses with a straight right.
Wein throws a big shot that misses.
and Wein counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Stern! He's just covering up as Wein starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
