Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Rexar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shark Attack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rexar comes to the ring accompanied by Big Shit Poppin'. Tyler Rexar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rexar smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Rexar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Attack was well out of range. Poor timing from Rexar.
Attack takes one to the chin there.
Attack takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Shark Attack has been cut.
Attack keeps the fight on the outside.

Rexar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Rexar stops Attack from getting back to his feet.
Rexar throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Rexar passes to side control.

Rexar advances to mount.
Attack blocking the ground and pound.

Attack tries to buck Rexar off but he can't manage it.
Rexar tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Attack is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Rexar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rexar can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Attack is looking to escape.

Rexar is looking to take a break and control but Attack is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rexar connects with a leg kick. Attack looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Attack uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rexar.
Attack is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Rexar with a body shot.
Rexar lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Attack looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rexar is fending him off so far but Attack persists. Nope, Rexar circles away and we're back to standing.

Attack dives in and scores a takedown into Rexar's guard.

Rexar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Attack manages to get himself to full guard.

Tyler Rexar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Attack is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rexar is controlling him.

Rexar seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Attack does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

I was talking to Rexar's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Attack moves forwards but Rexar connects with a nice, crisp jab.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Rexar has cracked Attack with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Rexar lands another huge swinging hook and Attack tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Attack, before Rexar can land any more shots!
