Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Declan Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aldo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is BIGGIE JUICY. The key to victory for Jose Aldo has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Aldo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Declan Morris! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morris blocks a head kick by Aldo.
Aldo misses with a head kick.
Morris wants to counter the offense by Aldo and move into the clinch position. Morris closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Aldo did well to prevent Morris getting side control. Morris is controlling the pace.
Aldo is trying to stand.
Aldo wants to control but Morris is keeping busy and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aldo is looking to escape. Morris with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Aldo pushes Morris off looking to stand but Morris dives back in and keeps control.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Morris gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Aldo. Morris throws a jab when Aldo was well out of range. Aldo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Morris takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Morris tries to move into range but Aldo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Aldo misses with a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice uppercut lands for Aldo. That snapped Morris's head back.
Morris shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Aldo as he jumps to the side. Aldo is looking for a counter combo. Morris tries a head kick but it misses.
A right-left combo lands from Aldo. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Morris throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Aldo was covering up waiting for the punch and Morris finishes the takedown easily into guard. Aldo working for a triangle but Morris defends it easily.
Morris wanted to stand there but Aldo had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aldo has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Morris has passed into side control.
Morris controlling the position. Aldo tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Aldo tries to reverse the position but Morris maintains control. Aldo is working hard here to advance position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morris connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Morris jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Aldo manages to avoid the submission attempt. Aldo wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Morris decides to stand back up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Morris. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Aldo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jose Aldo will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Aldo throws a leg kick which misses Morris's front leg but catches the back leg as Morris tries to avoid it. Morris instigates a clinch. Aldo wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A frustrated look appears on Aldo's face as he tries to break the clinch. Morris breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Morris shoots in but Aldo avoids the takedown attempt easily. Morris closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Morris lands in his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aldo wants to sweep here but Morris controlling him for the moment. Aldo has his foot on Morris's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Morris works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morris forces his way into half guard. Morris stops Aldo from getting back to his feet.
Morris postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Aldo to stand up. Aldo lands a nice shot to the body.
Morris rushes Aldo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Morris manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Morris is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Morris drops an elbow to the side of Aldo's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morris content to control rather than advance. Morris slips a nice elbow through Aldo's hands, connecting with Aldo's forehead. Aldo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Morris passes to full mount! Aldo tries to buck Morris off but he can't manage it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aldo tries to reverse the position but Morris maintains control. Morris looking to control and managing it successfully. Aldo is trying to stand up. Morris has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Aldo's face.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morris looking to control and managing it successfully. A nice elbow there by Morris. Aldo can't escape the position.
Morris has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Morris sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Morris working for a guillotine from mount but Aldo is in no mood to give up. Morris lands a big elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Declan Morris showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aldo wants to stand but Morris has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morris looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Aldo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Morris is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Aldo, into his guard. Morris looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Aldo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Morris lands a couple of decent looking shots. Morris sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Aldo's guard. Aldo wants to control but Morris is keeping busy and won't allow it. Morris lands with a punch from half guard. Morris drops an elbow to the side of Aldo's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aldo is looking to escape. Morris looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Morris lands a nice short elbow. Aldo tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Morris manages to move to mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round. You get the feeling that Aldo really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Morris prevents Aldo from getting the reversal. Morris sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Morris working away from the top, dropping strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Declan Morris comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Morris has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
