The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hondadakeri looking to score a takedown here. Sims is defending well but Hondadakeri drives through and ends up in Sims's guard.

Hondadakeri has Sims pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hondadakeri pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sims tumbling to the mat - Hondadakeri dives into Sims's guard.

Sims is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Hondadakeri dives into side control.
Raghu Hondadakeri has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hondadakeri cracks Sims with a big right hand but Sims just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Sims takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Hondadakeri works to advance to full mount. Sims defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Hondadakeri postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Sims bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Hondadakeri and the fight is over!
