Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Tombstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Strazas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcelo Strazas!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strazas lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tombstone's sensitive parts.
Tombstone looks for a takedown but Strazas sprawls well.
Strazas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Tombstone fails with the takedown.
Tombstone tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Strazas counters with a stiff right hand.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Strazas, right into the meat.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Strazas.

Tombstone has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Strazas.

Tombstone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Tombstone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Strazas manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tombstone passes Strazas's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tombstone crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Strazas - the referee stops the clock and Tombstone gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Strazas. Tombstone manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Strazas has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Tombstone closes the distance and clinches up with Strazas, looking for a takedown. Tombstone pushes Strazas against the cage but Strazas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Strazas is trying to force a seperation but Tombstone has the dominant position.
Tombstone tries to pull guard but Strazas holds him up against the cage and eventually Tombstone drops back down to his feet.
Tombstone changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Strazas fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Tombstone steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Strazas. That one must have hurt.

Strazas throws a leg kick which misses Tombstone's front leg but catches the back leg as Tombstone tries to avoid it.
Strazas throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tombstone on the side of the head.
