Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jai Setright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corwin Anstey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Setright comes into the arena with The Dagger blaring out of the sound system. Anstey has chosen Heat--J.U.I.C.E. as his entrance music. Jai Setright has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jai Setright! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anstey scores with a body shot.
Anstey displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Anstey throws a leg kick and Anstey takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A jab from Setright misses. Anstey walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Setright has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Anstey. Setright tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anstey swats him away and circles back towards the center. Setright throws an overhand right that lands on Anstey's shoulder, as Anstey tries to avoid the shot. Setright throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A combination from Setright does no damage. Setright finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Anstey uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Setright. Anstey with the counter takedown but Setright avoids it easily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Setright throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Setright lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. An inside leg kick lands from Setright. Anstey swings away with a leg kick that misses. Setright was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Anstey throws a leg kick that misses. A shot to the liver by Setright. Beautiful body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anstey checks the leg kick nicely there.
And Anstey tries to counter it with a takedown but Setright pushes his down on his head and steps out. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Anstey, right into the meat.
Setright avoids the body shot from Anstey.
It looked like Setright wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Anstey avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Setright on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Setright throws a right and a left that both miss. Setright swings away with a leg kick that misses. Anstey tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Setright misses with a wild body shot. Anstey waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Setright. Anstey with a jab. Anstey pivots, looking for a leg kick but Setright is out of range and Anstey settles back down. Setright throws a hook but Anstey blocks it. Anstey uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Setright. Setright defending well as Anstey loads up on a big left hand. Good leg kick by Anstey there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A nice leg kick lands there from Setright. Anstey tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anstey doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. We've been told by Setright's head coaches at Montreal Fighter's Gym (4.5* Sparring) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Setright waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Anstey. Anstey with the counter takedown but Setright avoids it easily. Anstey fails to land the takedown. Anstey darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Anstey pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Setright looks to score with a jab to the body but Anstey is just out of range. Setright pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Setright lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Anstey lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Anstey. Nice cross by Anstey. Anstey connects with an inside leg kick. Setright is looking to slow Anstey down with leg kicks. Setright pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Setright works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Good exchange - Setright coming out on top.
Anstey is rocked! A combination from Setright does no damage. Anstey is still on wobbly legs! Can Setright finish him? Setright throws a leg kick which misses Anstey's front leg but catches the back leg as Anstey tries to avoid it. Anstey wants to land a leg kick but Setright is out of range. Setright was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Setright throws a low kick but Anstey avoids it. Setright scores with a punch to the head. Setright cracks Anstey on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Anstey falls backwards against the cage. Setright follows up with more strikes that drop Anstey to his knees. Setright keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Anstey! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jai Setright! Jai Setright retains his welterweight title! During a confident post fight interview, Jai Setright thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
