Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Jeremy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Novaks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Alex Novaks was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ron Jeremy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Novaks!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeremy lands with an uppercut that bounces Novaks off the cage and back into range.
Jeremy shoots in but Novaks avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Novaks pushes Jeremy up against the cage in a clinch.
Novaks content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Novaks misses with a knee to the head.
Novaks tries a knee to the head but Jeremy blocks it.

Jeremy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Novaks swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jeremy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Novaks manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jeremy has Novaks in his guard.

Novaks slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Novaks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jeremy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Novaks avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Jeremy throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Novaks escapes and throws Jeremy's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Jeremy is looking to regain half guard here but Novaks keeps moving and retains side control.
The referee asks Novaks politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Novaks prefers to stall for the moment though.
Jeremy is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at The Axis of Evil that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Jeremy manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jeremy wants to control but Novaks is keeping busy.

Novaks moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Jeremy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Novaks decides to stand back up.

Jeremy has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Novaks after a bit of a struggle.

Jeremy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Novaks as he avoids it easily.
Jeremy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Novaks tries to avoid it but Jeremy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Novaks to the ground. Novaks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Novaks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jeremy looks to score with a jab to the body but Novaks is just out of range.

and Novaks counters with a series of strikes. Jeremy will be more careful next time no doubt.

Well Novaks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
