Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donkey Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kong's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Awesome Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Donkey Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clay Thomas!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Kong counters with a shoot takedown. Thomas fights it but they end up in guard.
Kong trying to control the position from guard on top but Thomas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kong in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Thomas is pulling down on Kong's head to control his posture.

Kong throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Thomas works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kong loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kong slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Thomas managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Kong.

Kong throws an elbow but Thomas slips to the side and avoids it well.
Thomas is looking for a sweep.
Thomas avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kong.
Thomas dodges the ground and pound from Kong.
The ground and pound from Kong seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Thomas tries to improve position but can't.
Thomas manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kong's best efforts.

Thomas holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Kong not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Thomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Thomas is trying to control but can't.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Thomas told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Kong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas is looking to sweep but instead, Kong has passed into half guard.
Kong will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kong seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Kong thows a huge punch but Thomas dodges it nicely.

Thomas wants to stand back up but Kong manages to pass into side control.
Kong connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Thomas some visible discomfort.

Thomas is not content to let Kong control the position.

Kong looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kong throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Kong goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Thomas rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kong's guard! Nice work there by Thomas!

Thomas wants to stand and escape but instead Kong has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kong is trying to control. Thomas wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Donkey Kong dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Thomas misses with a series of wild punches.
Kong tries to counter with a takedown but Thomas is quick to defend against it.
The fighters circling - Thomas throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Thomas blocks a jab.
Kong throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kong lands a head kick. Thomas smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Kong with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Thomas scores with a punch to the head.
Kong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Thomas doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Kong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Thomas can do to turn this around?
A slapping body kick lands there for Kong.
Kong cracks the inside of Thomas's front leg.
A swing and a miss from Kong.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kong connects with the punch.
Clay Thomas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

It looks like Donkey Kong has been cut.
Kong is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Thomas.

Kong throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Thomas staying out of range there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Thomas. Kong does a little dance to reset his feet.
Thomas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Thomas misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kong looks for a takedown but Thomas sprawls well.
Kong jabs Thomas right on the nose. Thomas blinks but takes it well.
Kong throws a predictable looking body shot
and Thomas counters with a three punch combo that has Kong backing up. Kong nods at Thomas to acknowledge the strikes.
Kong connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A head kick misses from Kong.
Kong misses with an uppercut. Thomas saw that one coming.

Thomas drops Kong with a beautiful combination! Kong stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Thomas is looking for the KO!


Kong is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kong misses with a body kick.
Thomas throws a fast counter high kick but Kong manages to duck under it in time.
Oh Kong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
No joy there for Thomas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kong lands a nice shot to the body.
Kong takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kong is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Thomas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kong drops down looking for a counter takedown but Thomas sprawls and moves away.
Thomas is breathing heavily.
Thomas throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kong feinted with a counter takedown.
Kong attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Kong seems to have got his legs back now.
Kong throws the kick towards the body but Thomas avoids it.
Thomas takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kong takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kong swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Thomas.
Kong loads up on a big right hand but Thomas slips the punch.
Sloppy strikes from Thomas. Those never looked like landing.
Thomas misses with a few strikes there.
Kong paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kong throws a shot from downtown. Thomas moves away and avoids it.
Despite the aggression on Thomas's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Nice cross by Kong.

Kong thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Thomas if he has to take too many more of those.
A jab from Thomas misses.
Kong misses with a low kick.
Kong wants to slow Thomas down by chopping away at his legs.
Thomas throws out a counter right but Kong avoids it with no problem.
Kong steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Thomas.
Kong misses with a head kick.
Kong shoots in for a double leg but Thomas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Thomas lands with a straight right. Kong didn't see that one coming.
Kong does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Thomas lands a left and a right that send Kong crashing to the mat, dazed. Thomas thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Kong looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kong showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thomas.
Kong has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donkey Kong. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Thomas tries a head kick but it misses.
Kong is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Kong throws a hook but Thomas blocks it.
Thomas misses with a straight left.
Thomas misses with a head kick.
Some bone on bone action there as Thomas checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Thomas is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Kong throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice defenses there by Kong.
Thomas scores with a decent looking hook.
Kong has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kong there as he acknowledges the shot.
Thomas lands a brutal head kick. Kong looks out on his feet and Thomas throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Clay Thomas!
A victorious Clay Thomas thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
In defeat, Donkey Kong stepped up to the mic, saying 'I will be back.'.
