The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man throws a sloppy head kick
so McGee counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
McGee wants to pass the guard but Man is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGee works a leg free and moves into half guard.
McGee is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Man is not content to let McGee control the position.
Man won't allow McGee to pass to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Man is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
McGee wants to pass to mount but Man is defending the position.

McGee uses his free foot to push down on Man's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Man.
McGee swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Man is now in McGee's guard. A big mistake from McGee there, giving up the dominant position!
McGee tries to land a sweep but no joy.
McGee working for a triangle but Man defends it easily.
Man looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

McGee is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Man frees his head nicely. Oh but McGee has switched to an armbar! Man is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
