Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Desean Bryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santiago Riasco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riasco has chosen The Mexakinz ft. Xzibit - The Wake Up Show as his entrance music. Santiago Riasco is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desean Bryant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Santiago Riasco! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bryant jabbing away but nothing is landing. Riasco feints the counter takedown. Bryant gets caught flat footed, as Riasco shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bryant wants to stand and escape but Riasco is having none of it. Riasco pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bryant is keeping the position for now. Bryant is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Riasco is controlling him. Riasco has gone for a leg lock! Bryant slips out almost immediately though and dives into Riasco's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Riasco working for submissions but it's allowed Bryant to get to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Riasco is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bryant scores with a couple of nice shots. Bryant controlling the pace. Riasco wants to get back to full guard. Riasco moves into full guard.
Bryant wants to stand but Riasco has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Bryant is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Bryant throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Riasco isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bryant stacks Riasco on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bryant! Riasco is looking to reverse the position. Bryant tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Bryant wants to control but Riasco is keeping him busy. I wouldn't like to be where Riasco is right now. Riasco is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bryant landing a few strikes. Bryant wants to take a breather but Riasco manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Bryant. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Riasco looking for a guillotine here but Bryant defends easily.
Our spies down at at King's Palace inform us that Riasco has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Bryant avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bryant has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Riasco is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Bryant has his hands clasped together but Riasco extends and breaks Bryant's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Riasco.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Santiago Riasco! Our winner, Santiago Riasco, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
