Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slight Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roan Stafford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes to the cage accompanied by Mr Sandman. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stafford throws a leg kick which misses Carter's front leg but catches the back leg as Carter tries to avoid it.
Carter instigates a clinch.
Carter pushes Stafford back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Stafford blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Stafford is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Carter pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Carter throws a head punch that misses.
A nice right hand lands inside from Carter.
Carter lands a right hand.
Carter throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Staffords head.
It looks like Roan Stafford has been cut.
Carter lands a body shot.
Carter lands a left hand that snaps the head of Stafford backwards.
Stafford wants a takedown but no success here.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Carter throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Staffords head.

Stafford is looking to break free of the clinch but Carter has double underhooks.
Carter lands a right hand that snaps the head of Stafford backwards.
Carter lands a left hand that snaps the head of Stafford backwards.
Carter lands with a right to the head.
Stafford is rocked!
That has opened up Roan Stafford's cut even more.
Carter swings wildly with an uppercut but Stafford uses good head movement to avoid it.
Carter unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Stafford! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Carter is unloading with more strikes now! Stafford drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Slight Carter!
Slight Carter is the new light heavyweight champion!
Slight Carter decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
