Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Nevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Nevsky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Alexander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
33 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Nevsky! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch lands to the side of Alexander 's head but he takes it in his stride. Alexander has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bi-polar Asylum in the buildup to the fight. Alexander gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nevsky to score an easy takedown into full guard. Nevsky missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Nevsky not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Nevsky trying to control but Alexander is working from the bottom. Nevsky is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Nevsky has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Alexander working for a triangle but Nevsky defends it easily.
Alexander has momentary wrist control but Nevsky slips an elbow through the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alexander looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nevsky is one step ahead there. Alexander will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alexander striking off his back but it's not causing Nevsky any problems. Nevsky drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nevsky jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Nevsky trying to control but Alexander is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nevsky pushing down on Alexander's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Nevsky working over Alexander with some ground and pound. Alexander looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Alexander wants to improve his position but Nevsky is controlling well.
Nevsky looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Alexander is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Nevsky scores with a couple of nice shots. Alexander knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nevsky on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alexander keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Nevsky looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Nevsky is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Alexander has managed to free his arm - good work. Nevsky is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Alexander wants to improve his position but Nevsky is controlling well.
Nevsky uses his free foot to push down on Alexander's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Alexander. Nevsky cracks Alexander with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Alexander can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alexander tries to lock up and control but Nevsky gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Alexander is controlling an arm, preventing Nevsky from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Nevsky looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. My spies in LOD: Stockton Cardio inform me that Nevsky has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Alexander in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Alexander is looking to improve his position but Nevsky isn't that keen on the idea. Nevsky looking to control but Alexander is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Alexander slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alexander on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Alexander is defending against the submission attempts here by Nevsky.
Nevsky is trying for a kimura here. Alexander looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Nevsky wins by kimura!
