The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Washington's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Washington prevents Paulsen from getting back to his feet.
Paulsen keeping full guard, as Washington tries to pass.
Washington pushes down on Paulsen's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Washington moves nicely into side control.
Washington wants to control but Paulsen is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Paulsen is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Washington has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Washington wants to lay and pray for a moment but Paulsen keeps working.

Paulsen tries to escape but Washington is in control.
Washington trying to control the position but Paulsen is working away.
Washington working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Washington just content to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Robert Paulsen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Washington with a lazy takedown attempt
and Paulsen counters with a stiff right hand.
Washington tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Paulsen swivels and escapes.
Washington takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Paulsen blocks a jab.
Washington shoots in but Paulsen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darcus Washington. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Washington gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Washington fails to land the takedown.

Paulsen connects with a single shot there.
Washington tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Paulsen counters with a crisp one two that drops Washington! Paulsen thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Washington to his feet! Washington is in big trouble!
Washington with a poor takedown
and Paulsen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Washington is breathing heavily.
Washington takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Paulsen digs a good hook to Washington's body.
Washington gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Paulsen gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Washington is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robert Paulsen!
Robert Paulsen gave a mention to GREEN!160 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
Darcus Washington was interviewed post fight and said '(Darcus slaps the ring announcer and storms out of the cage) Bitches!!! I hate you bitches!!!'.
