Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Solis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Macho Alpha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Patrick Solis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Macho Alpha!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Columbo Gatti and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alpha shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Solis is looking to stand up but Alpha isn't so interested in that idea.
Solis managing to control the position.
Solis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Solis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Alpha must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Solis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Alpha is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Solis lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Solis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Solis won't allow Alpha to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alpha should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Solis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Alpha is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Solis, into his guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Solis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Solis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Solis wants to stand up but Alpha is controlling the position.

Solis throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Solis is taking a breather. Alpha says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Alpha is holding on to half guard well.

Solis decides to stand and escape the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Solis wants to sweep but no luck.
Alpha postures up in Solis's guard and throws a big left but Solis blocks it.

Alpha decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Alpha fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Solis to the ground. Alpha is now in Solis's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Solis has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Macho Alpha dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Alpha darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Alpha thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Macho Alpha has got the better of the ground game so far.
Alpha trying to control from half guard but Solis is working away.
Alpha not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Solis moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Alpha looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Solis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alpha's guard.

Solis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Alpha is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Alpha is looking to stand up but Solis isn't so interested in that idea.

Solis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Alpha is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Solis, into his guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Solis is looking to sweep but instead, Alpha has passed into half guard.
Alpha has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Alpha throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Alpha wants to pass to mount but Solis is defending the position.
Solis is concentrating on defense, preventing Alpha from advancing position.
Alpha wants to free his trapped foot but Solis is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Solis moves into full guard.
Alpha throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Solis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Solis is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Solis has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Alpha has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Alpha breaks from the clinch.

Alpha closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Solis's guard.
Solis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Solis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Alpha is one step ahead there.

Alpha is pulling down on Solis's head. It's preventing any offense from Solis, at least for the moment.

Alpha is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Solis is controlling him.

Solis gets caught flat footed, as Alpha shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Solis is trying to control the position but Alpha postures up.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Alpha trying to stand up but can't free himself from Solis's guard.
Solis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Alpha manages to get himself to full guard.

Alpha wants to sweep here but Solis controlling him for the moment.
Alpha wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Solis manages to pass to side control.
Alpha is doing well to control the position and prevent Solis from advancing to side control.

Alpha pushes Solis off and gets back to his feet.
Solis throws a right hand that Alpha ducks under and follows up with a left that Alpha also avoids with ease.

Alpha fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Solis to the ground. Alpha is now in Solis's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Solis is on top in guard.


Alpha manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Solis drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Solis landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Solis blocks a body shot from Alpha.

Alpha gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Solis regains guard.
Solis looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Solis preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Macho Alpha is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
