Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nigel McHughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seyran Zeynalabdinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McHughes comes to the cage accompanied by Welcome To My Hood. Zeynalabdinov has chosen Saku as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zeynalabdinov shoots in for a double leg but McHughes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Zeynalabdinov has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
McHughes jabs Zeynalabdinov to the body, keeping him at a distance.

McHughes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zeynalabdinov manages to avoid it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

McHughes appears to be looking for a big counter.
McHughes wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Zeynalabdinov throws a leg kick but McHughes sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Zeynalabdinov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Zeynalabdinov is working to tighten his grip on McHughes's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. McHughes has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Zeynalabdinov is really squeezing tight and eventually McHughes passes out! Zeynalabdinov breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

A determined Seyran Zeynalabdinov didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
