The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Dean Styles and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avila thuds a left hand into Herrera's body.
Avila misses with a body shot.
Avila shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Herrera eats them both and turns towards Avila to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Avila connects with a body shot that sends Herrera's belly button to the back.
Herrera takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Avila scores with a hook to the body. Herrera takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Avila wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Avila throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Avila throws a body shot but no joy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Herrera with a poor takedown
and Avila counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Avila is looking to wear down Herrera with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Avila digs a good hook to Herrera's body.
Herrera shoots in looking for a takedown but Avila manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Herrera's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Avila takes a swing at Herrera's ribcage but misses.
A nice side step and Herrera releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Avila lands a jab to Herrera's midsection.

Avila keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Oscar Avila has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Herrera.
Avila ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Avila tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Herrera was well out of range. Poor timing from Avila.
Herrera tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Avila defends well and Herrera ends up having to push Avila into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Nice shot lands for Avila.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Avila, as that shot connected.
Avila just misses with a punch to the body.
Avila scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Herrera is rocked!
Herrera shoots in but Avila avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Herrera is still on wobbly legs! Can Avila finish him?

Avila is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Avila shuts the power down on Herrera. Lights out, game over! Avila is your winner.
