Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, RedHEED StepChild! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 2, fighting out of New York, Arthur Smith ! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! StepChild throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Smith on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. StepChild catches Smith with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Arthur Smith has been cut. StepChild throws a lazy uppercut
and Smith counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for StepChild! StepChild tries to buck Smith off but Smith is having none of it. Smith lands a nice forearm strike. Smith just content to control the position. Smith grinds an elbow into StepChild's temple. StepChild is looking for a sweep. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. StepChild tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! That was a close round but I would say that RedHEED StepChild will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Arthur Smith 's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
StepChild dips to his left and cracks Smith with an uppercut! Smith shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. StepChild manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and StepChild has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between StepChild's legs - danger averted. Smith controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Smith must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. StepChild is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. StepChild working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Arthur Smith has got the better of the ground game so far. Smith slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Smith stacks StepChild on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Smith ! StepChild looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. StepChild is looking for a sweep. StepChild is not content to let Smith control the position. StepChild is trying to improve his position. Smith working the ground and pound.
