Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marian Bauch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Utica Franks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marian Bauch looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marian Bauch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Utica Franks!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bauch moves in looking to clinch but Franks pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bauch looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bauch swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Franks counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Bauch!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Franks works to advance to full mount. Bauch defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Franks stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Bauch is breathing heavily.
Franks fails with the takedown
and Bauch counters with a right hand to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Franks will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

A frustrated look appears on Bauch's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Franks shoots in and drives through. Bauch sprawls well.
Franks takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Franks stuns Bauch with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bauch really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Franks drives through and clinches with Bauch against the cage.
Franks has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bauch uses from the top position.

Franks is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Franks is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bauch has hold of Franks's hands but Franks slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Franks connects with a nice short shot to Bauch's temple.
Franks lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Franks looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bauch is trying to escape back to his feet but Franks uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Franks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bauch is looking to reverse the position.
Franks is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bauch knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Franks is staying tight to Bauch's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Franks trying to control the action but Bauch is working from the bottom.
Franks decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bauch to his feet.
Franks is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bauch sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Bauch's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Franks clinches up with Bauch and pushes him back against the cage.
Bauch prevents a takedown attempt there.
Franks is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bauch can't fight it off and eventually Franks manages to take the fight to the floor. Bauch looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Franks seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Franks trying to control the position from guard on top but Bauch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Franks is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Bauch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Franks on the ground.
Bauch wants to sweep but no luck.
Bauch looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Franks controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Franks shoots and misses
and Bauch counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Franks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Franks.

Franks is continuing to stall.
Franks is looking to control Bauch's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Franks avoid being mounted?
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Franks manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Bauch keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Utica Franks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Franks lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Franks is taking a breather. Bauch says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Bauch wants to sweep but Franks has passed to side control!
Franks lands a strong strike to the head of Bauch. That's dazed him! Franks looking to finish here. Bauch is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Franks lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
