Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Magnar Styr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlito Brigante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Styr comes to the cage accompanied by The song of a freeman. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brigante lands a right hook to the body.
Styr avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Carlito Brigante seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Styr crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Brigante - the referee stops the clock and Styr gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Brigante. Styr manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Brigante has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Styr's corner calls for a 1-2. Styr obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

That has opened up Carlito Brigante's cut even more.
Brigante takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Brigante pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Brigante gets tackled into the cage by Styr. Styr maintains the clinch.

Brigante is still on wobbly legs! Can Styr finish him?
Styr cracks Brigante with a big elbow, right in the eye socket! Brigante drops to his knees in obvious pain! The referee starts the count but it's plainly obvious that Brigante isn't going to get back to his feet. The referee counts none the less and Styr struts around the mat, safe in the knowledge that this one is over. A big win for Styr!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Elbows). Magnar Styr!
Magnar Styr retains his heavyweight title!
Magnar Styr decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
The defeated Carlito Brigante had this to say: 'Congrats to the new champ'.
