Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffry Preston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeAndre Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perry has chosen born 2 run as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeffry Preston! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, DeAndre Perry! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Preston misses with a head kick.
Perry drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Preston keeping full guard, as Perry tries to pass. Preston working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Perry doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Perry manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Perry has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Preston is proving hard to escape from. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Preston trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Preston pulls Perry in close to prevent any damage. Perry trying to control but Preston is working from the bottom. Preston doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Perry must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Perry has gone for a leg lock! Preston slips out almost immediately though and dives into Perry's guard. Preston looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Preston is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Preston drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Preston jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Preston has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Preston gets to his feet - Perry follows without any prompting. Perry clinches up against the cage. Perry manages to pull guard.
Perry trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Preston is working Perry over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Preston really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Preston stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perry gets in close and instigates a clinch. Perry is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Preston is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Perry gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Perry should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Perry jumps guard.
Preston gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Perry looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Preston has his foot on Perry's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Perry works his way back into a safe position though. Preston is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Preston is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Preston is working for a kimura but Perry is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Nice strikes from Preston there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Preston is working for a submission of some sort.
Perry is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Preston scores with a couple of nice shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeffry Preston dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Perry throws a sloppy head kick and Preston moves out of range easily. Perry pushes Preston up against the cage in a clinch. Preston turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Perry is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Jeffry Preston overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Preston is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Perry knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Perry is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Perry's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Perry tries to bench press Preston off him but Preston keeps the position. Preston working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Preston has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Perry gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Preston to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perry is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Preston gets to his feet - Perry follows without any prompting. Perry gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Perry with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Perry turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! You can see the frustration on Preston's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Preston is not content to let Perry control the position. Preston is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Preston parries the strikes from Perry easily there. Perry is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Preston to escape.
Perry wants to lay and pray for a moment but Preston keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Perry working away. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Preston is trying to get back to half guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Perry darts in and clinches Preston up against the cage. Perry scores with a hook to the body. Perry leaning against his opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Preston misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Perry.
Perry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jeffry Preston will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Preston shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Perry manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Perry is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Preston is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Perry looking to control.
