Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gimme Money! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Money throws a hook but Miller blocks it. We've been hearing reports that Miller has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Miller is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Money's half guard. Money wants to get back to his feet. Money looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Miller is looking for a kimura here.
Money pushes Miller off looking to stand but Miller dives back in and keeps control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miller is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Money sees it coming and defends easily. Miller is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Money is just riding it out for now. Miller eventually gives up the hold. Miller is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Miller is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Money trying to hold on to Miller's head to control him but Miller postures up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Miller lands a nice short elbow. Miller is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Money doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Miller. Money tries to kick Miller off but Miller keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Miller thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Miller is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Money has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Money is trying to stand up here but Miller is controlling him well. Money looking for submissions off his back. Money actively working from the bottom here. Miller seems to be working for a kimura but Money defends the submission attempt. Miller is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Miller slips a nice elbow through Money's hands, connecting with Money's forehead. Miller is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Money is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Miller pulls his head out easily. Miller with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Money wants to stand and escape but Miller is having none of it. Miller is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Money keeping full guard, as Miller tries to pass. Miller prevents Money from getting back to his feet. Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miller working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Miller postures up and lands a big shot to Money's brow. Money has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cylon Training Academy. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller lands a couple of elbows. Miller trying to control but Money is working from the bottom. Money is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Miller defends well. Money is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Money had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Miller defends it easily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Money escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Miller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Money keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Miller dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Miller will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Money leaves Miller with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Money lands a head shot. Miller takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Good exchange - Money coming out on top. Money displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Miller. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him. A decent looking cross lands there for Money. Money throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Miller in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Miller drops back looking for a leg! Money is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Money manages to kick Miller off! Miller jumps back into Money's guard. Jake Miller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Money keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gimme Money showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jake Miller's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Miller decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Money tests Miller's chin there with a solid looking shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Money tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
