Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Iwao Wada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wada comes to the cage accompanied by Kickstart My Heart. Max Payne will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Iwao Wada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Payne! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Payne has Wada up against the cage in a clinch.
Wada is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Payne pulls him back up using the underhooks. Payne tries to work over Wada's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Payne successfully pulls guard.
Wada drops back looking for a leg! Payne is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Payne manages to kick Wada off! Wada jumps back into Payne's guard. Wada drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wada jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Wada tries to free his leg and advance position but Payne is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wada drops back for a leg! Wada is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Payne is just riding it out for now. Wada eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wada wants to control but Payne is keeping him busy. Payne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wada. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Payne is defending against the submission attempts here by Wada.
Wada is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Payne is looking to get back to is feet but Wada passes into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Payne is not content to let Wada control the position. Wada looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Payne is avoiding damage well.
Wada is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Payne is trying to escape and Wada transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Payne is forced to tap! Nice work there by Wada! Very nice indeed!
