Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Otto Hauser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roman Reigns!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reigns rushes Hauser and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hauser tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Reigns fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Hauser has the Thai plumb, controlling the head nicely. He loads up with a big knee to the head and Reigns goes down! Hauser pounces into side control - this one could be over soon!


It looks like Roman Reigns has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hauser looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Reigns is avoiding damage well.
Reigns is not content to let Hauser control the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee asks Hauser politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hauser prefers to stall for the moment though.
Reigns is pushing Hauser's head away, looking to escape. Hauser manages to hold on to the position though.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Reigns parries the strikes from Hauser easily there. Hauser is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Reigns to escape.
Hauser throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Hauser tries to pass the half guard into mount. Reigns knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Hauser has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Reigns prevents Hauser from improving position.

Reigns prevents Hauser from moving into mount.
Hauser is looking to take a break and control but Reigns is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Reigns's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ground and pound from Hauser seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Hauser trying to control the action but Reigns is working from the bottom.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Hauser wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reigns keeps working.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Reigns tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hauser sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Reigns somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Reigns looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Reigns tries to clinch but Hauser is having none of it.
A jab from Hauser misses.
Hauser throws a hook but Reigns avoids it easily.
Hauser turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Reigns throws a head kick that misses.
Reigns changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hauser is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

Hauser gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hauser throws a knee to the head but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reigns goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hauser prevents it.

Hauser lands a knee to the head.
Hauser connects with a nasty looking knee right to Reigns's face.

Hauser scores a nice knee to the body.
Reigns is breathing heavily.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Hauser obliges.

Hauser with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Reigns has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Hauser seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Reigns can turn it around.

Hauser lands a big knee! That's hurt Reigns! Oh, he's all over the place! Hauser lands another knee that sends Reigns to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
