Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Genaro Burke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominic Diggin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Genaro Burke is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Genaro Burke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dominic Diggin!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diggin gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Diggin tries to score a body lock takedown but Burke shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Burke content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Diggin wants to get back to striking at distance but Burke won't allow it.
Diggin goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Diggin stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Burke drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Diggin gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Burke gets underhooks to prevent Diggin's takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Come on Burke - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Diggin looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Burke is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Diggin is working for takedown but Burke is calmly controlling the position for now.
Genaro Burke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dominic Diggin.

Diggin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Burke is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Diggin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Burke gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Burke gets underhooks to prevent Diggin's takedown attempt.
Diggin is trying to push Burke away but Burke has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Burke is trying to stall.
Diggin controlling the action here for a moment.
Diggin is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Diggin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Burke swivels and escapes.

Burke tries to clinch up but Diggin circles away and keeps his distance.

Diggin scores with a sloppy right hand. Burke should have avoided that one.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Diggin moves into the clinch.
Diggin has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Burke after a bit of a struggle.
Diggin tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dominic Diggin will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Diggin looks for a takedown but Burke sprawls well.
Diggin dives in and grabs Burke's left leg, looking for a takedown. Burke pushes down on Diggin's head and hops out.
Diggin tries for a takedown but Burke sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Diggin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Diggin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Burke bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Diggin's guard.

Diggin wants to sweep but no luck.
Diggin has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Burke has passed into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Diggin's face as Burke controls the position.
Burke is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Diggin can do to turn this around?

Burke wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Diggin, who protects the arm well.

Diggin is trying to escape the position but Burke is controlling the position.
Diggin managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Burke.

Burke tries for a kimura but Diggin is defending well.

Burke is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diggin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Diggin is not content to let Burke control the position.
Diggin is looking for a sweep.

Diggin struggling a bit here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Genaro Burke dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Diggin throws a half hearted mid kick.
Burke appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Diggin has Burke up against the cage in a clinch.

Burke has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Diggin regains guard immediately.

Burke drops back looking for a leg! Diggin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Diggin manages to kick Burke off! Burke jumps back into Diggin's guard.
Burke connects with a couple of short punches.

Diggin wants to stand but Burke is controlling the position.
Diggin is trying to keep Burke in close.
Burke is looking to stand up but Diggin won't let him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

and Diggin counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Diggin.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Burke keeps control of Diggin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Diggin tries to pull guard but Burke won't allow it.
Burke is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Burke is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Diggin pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Diggin throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Burke blocks it with crossed arms.
Diggin is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Burke pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Burke tries to score a body lock takedown but Diggin shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Diggin jumps into guard, dragging Burke to the mat.

Dominic Diggin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Diggin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
