Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pepe LePew!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lickertwat throws an uppercut from half a mile away. LePew sees it coming and avoids it easily.
And LePew responds with a good body kick, but Lickertwat manages to step out the way in time.
Lickertwat has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Lickertwat throws a low kick but LePew moves out of range easily.
Lickertwat fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches LePew on the side of the head.
Lickertwat misses with a head kick.
Nice shot by Lickertwat.
Lickertwat thuds a left hand into LePew's body.
Lickertwat connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Lickertwat misses with a hook. LePew ducked under it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lickertwat scores with a nice strike.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that LePew has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
LePew staying out of range there.
LePew is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Lickertwat lands the left hand.

Lickertwat looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

LePew wants to sweep but Lickertwat has passed to side control!
Lickertwat wants to control but LePew is keeping him busy.
LePew is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lickertwat off and has taken his back!

LePew is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

LePew is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Lickertwat is defending well though. LePew let's go of the attempt for now.
LePew keeps control of the position as Lickertwat tries to break free.

Lickertwat manages to reverse the position and now he's in LePew's guard. Nice work there by Lickertwat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lickertwat's corner is telling him to maintain position.

LePew looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Lickertwat passes into half guard.
Lickertwat content to control rather than advance.
Lickertwat's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
LePew wants to get back to full guard.
LePew is staying active underneath Lickertwat, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lickertwat is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Lickertwat thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed LePew's head.
Lickertwat scoring with strikes to the body and head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
LePew wants to improve his position but Lickertwat is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lickertwat missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
LePew moves into full guard.
Lickertwat trying to control but LePew is working from the bottom.

LePew has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Lickertwat should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, LePew has tightened it up now! Lickertwat should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
