Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edward Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark misses with a lunging right hand
and Patterson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Stark throws a right and a left that Patterson avoids nicely.
Stark tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Patterson was well out of range. Poor timing from Stark.
A countering left hand to the body from Patterson misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stark shoots in for a double leg but Patterson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

It looks like Edward Stark has been cut.
Stark throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Patterson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Stark connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stark shoots in for a takedown but Patterson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Patterson counters with a nice right hand that sends Stark toppling to the canvas! Stark scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Patterson finish him?!
