Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Griggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Griggs.
Ray ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ray stuffs the takedown attempt from Griggs. Griggs gets slowly back to his feet.
Griggs on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Griggs lands with a hook. Ray tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ray misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Griggs.
Griggs missing with a left hand there. Ray was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ray. Griggs does a little dance to reset his feet.
Griggs walks into a straight right hand from Ray.
Ray throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Griggs was covering up waiting for the punch and Ray finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Griggs has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

My spies in MagicalFatFarm inform me that Ray has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Griggs is pulling down on Ray's head. It's preventing any offense from Ray, at least for the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

We've been hearing reports that Griggs has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Griggs fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ray on the side of the head.
Ray goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Griggs thows a huge punch but Ray dodges it nicely.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Ray lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ray.

Ricky Ray seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Griggs moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Oh Griggs is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Griggs switches off momentarily and Ray cracks him with a monster right hand! Griggs topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Ray dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Ray!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ricky Ray!
