The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoist turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
McCoist feints and then cracks Taparzo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Taparzo down.
Taparzo misses with a straight right.
McCoist is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Wiley McCoist has been cut.
A slow jab from Taparzo misses its intended target.
McCoist is looking to clinch but Taparzo is avoiding it.
A decent looking cross lands there for Taparzo.

and Taparzo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
McCoist goes for a double leg but Taparzo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Taparzo continues to drive forward.

McCoist shoots in for a double leg but Taparzo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Luca Taparzo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wiley McCoist.
Taparzo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McCoist.

Taparzo lands a big right hand that sends McCoist crashing to the mat! Taparzo stays standing though and waves McCoist back to his feet!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Taparzo plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops McCoist to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! McCoist just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
