The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stampfer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Panteleev.
Panteleev misses with the combination.
A counter left hand to the body from Stampfer misses its target.
Panteleev has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Stampfer doesn't manage to clinch there - Panteleev circles away.
Panteleev scores with a nice strike.
Stampfer scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Stampfer tries to clinch but Panteleev moves away
and Panteleev counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Stampfer thinking.
Stampfer wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stampfer is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A big right from Panteleev misses.
Stampfer doesn't manage to clinch there - Panteleev circles away.

Stampfer connects with a looping right hand.
Stampfer tries to clinch up but Panteleev circles away and keeps his distance.
Panteleev looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Stampfer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Panteleev was well out of range. Poor timing from Stampfer.
We've been hearing reports that Stampfer has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Stampfer is leaning against Panteleev and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Stampfer keeps control of Panteleev as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Panteleev wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Stampfer has him pressed against the cage.

Stampfer dips a shoulder and cracks Panteleev with a mighty uppercut! Panteleev falls back against the cage and Stampfer unloads with a barrage of strikes! Panteleev is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Stampfer screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Stampfer!
Paul Stampfer is the new light heavyweight champion!
Paul Stampfer gave a mention to GREEN!160 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
