Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ferdinand Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Esporanza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ferdinand Alvarez has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ferdinand Alvarez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eddie Esporanza! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alvarez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Esporanza defends it nicely. Esporanza closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Esporanza advances to mount. Esporanza tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Esporanza gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Esporanza gets caught flat footed, as Alvarez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Alvarez wants to control from the top but Esporanza keeps moving. Esporanza manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Alvarez manages to get himself to full guard.
Alvarez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Esporanza passes Alvarez's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Esporanza wants to take a breather but Alvarez is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvarez wants to get back to his feet.
Esporanza drops an elbow to the side of Alvarez's head. Esporanza slows the pace down in half guard. Esporanza is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Alvarez is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Alvarez is looking to improve his position but Esporanza isn't that keen on the idea. Alvarez wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Esporanza wants to control the pace but Alvarez is squirming around nicely. Esporanza jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Alvarez manages to avoid the submission attempt. Esporanza is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Alvarez looks calm but he's in trouble here. Esporanza gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Alvarez is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Esporanza lets go of the hold and Alvarez can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Eddie Esporanza! After winning the bout, Eddie Esporanza thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
