The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas misses with a hook.
Thomas has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Denubis.
Denubis just misses with a punch to the body.
Denubis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Thomas is trying to defend but Denubis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Denubis is looking for a kimura but Thomas is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Denubis to get the leverage.
Denubis moves nicely into side control.
Denubis has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Thomas is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Denubis yanks on the arm and Thomas is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Denubis.
