Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rancid Crabtree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Jefe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rancid Crabtree!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, El Jefe!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefe tries to clinch but Crabtree moves out of range.
Crabtree looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Crabtree scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Jefe clinches.
Jefe throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Crabtrees head.

Crabtree breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jefe gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Crabtree blocks an uppercut.
Crabtree is trying to break the clinch but Jefe is controlling him.

Jefe breaks from the clinch.
Crabtree will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Crabtree attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Crabtree lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nice shot by Crabtree.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jefe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jefe is looking to clinch.
Jefe needs to keep his hands up - Crabtree had a free shot at his head there.

Jefe darts in and clinches Crabtree up against the cage.
Jefe tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Crabtree's elbow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crabtree has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Jefe lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Jefe lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Crabtree backwards.

Jefe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rancid Crabtree is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jefe shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Crabtree sprawls well. Crabtree wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jefe gets slowly back to his feet.
Crabtree appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Crabtree lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Crabtree fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jefe.
Crabtree scores with a hook to the body. Jefe takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Crabtree enables Jefe to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Crabtree manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jefe has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Las Vegas. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Jefe trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Crabtree controlling the position.
Crabtree wants to stand but Jefe is controlling the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jefe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Jefe drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Crabtree dives on top into guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jefe can do anything to dispel that myth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jefe wants to stand and escape but Crabtree is having none of it.
Crabtree pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jefe is keeping the position for now.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crabtree accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jefe has momentary wrist control but Crabtree slips an elbow through the middle.
Crabtree trying to control the position from guard on top but Jefe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jefe wants to sweep here but Crabtree controlling him for the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jefe working for a triangle but Crabtree defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crabtree throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jefe works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Crabtree stops Jefe from standing up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
El Jefe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jefe tries to clinch but Crabtree is having none of it.
Crabtree lands a jab-cross combination.
Jefe tries to close the distance and clinch but Crabtree swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jefe takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jefe closes the distance looking to clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Crabtree keeps the fight on the outside.
Crabtree is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Jefe stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Crabtree.
Nice body punch from Crabtree.
Crabtree lands with a straight right. Jefe didn't see that one coming.


Jefe is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Crabtree throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Jefe colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Crabtree as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Jefe is left battered and dazed whilst Crabtree and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rancid Crabtree!
