No joy there for McIlrath, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

dos Santos shoots in looking for a takedown. McIlrath tries to sprawl out of it but dos Santos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McIlrath manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
dos Santos shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
McIlrath lands a body shot.
McIlrath has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
McIlrath drops dos Santos with a right and a left! McIlrath comes rushing in but dos Santos regains his composure and manages to keep McIlrath in guard.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Thiago dos Santos's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
