PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hector Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsau Tsetsku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tsetsku is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Paula Seling & Ovi - Miracle. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tsau Tsetsku!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Davis or perhaps it was just good defense by Tsetsku, which made it look bad.
Tsetsku is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Davis takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Tsetsku throws a punch but it's blocked by Davis.
Davis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Davis has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Tsetsku uses from the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Tsetsku seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tsetsku can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

and Tsetsku makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Tsetsku stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tsetsku wants it to stay on the feet.

Davis is rocked!
Davis is trying to pull guard but Tsetsku has him pressed against the cage.
Oh Davis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Davis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tsetsku just stands there and leans against the cage.
Tsetsku lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Davis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tsetsku smiles and moves away.
Tsetsku closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Davis! Tsetsku dives in looking to finish! Davis is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tsau Tsetsku!
