11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randy Savage! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whiston throws a looping overhand right but Savage ducks down to avoid it. We've been informed that Savage has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Savage walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Whiston checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Whiston misses with a two punch combination.

Savage thuds his right hand into Whiston's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Savage cracks Whiston with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Whiston is rocked! Savage scores with a nice head shot. Oh Whiston is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A big left from Whiston misses. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Whiston might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Whiston walks straight into a right hand from Savage - that's dropped him! Savage jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Whiston from any more punishment! Whiston complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
