Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Fantinaz Del Norte! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
38 - 16 - 4, fighting out of London, Zak Drezner! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Del Norte lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Drezner swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Del Norte counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Del Norte stops Drezner from standing up. Del Norte connects with a couple of short punches. Del Norte trying to control but Drezner is working from the bottom. Our spies down at at Bad Pluto! (18 Elite Coach) inform us that Drezner has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Del Norte stands up and waves to Drezner to follow him. Del Norte has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Nordic Top Team in the buildup to the fight. Drezner looking to land some kicks to the body here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Del Norte lands a two punch combo.
Drezner misses with a straight left. Drezner clinches up with Del Norte and pushes him back against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Drezner manages to break the clinch.
Del Norte uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Drezner.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Del Norte or perhaps it was just good defense by Drezner, which made it look bad. Drezner has taken the fight to the clinch.

Drezner throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Del Norte. Drezner misses with a kick to the body letting Del Norte counter with a right hand. Del Norte darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Del Norte is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Del Norte looking to control but Drezner is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Del Norte won't let Drezner get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Del Norte throws a strike there. Drezner manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Drezner is refusing to be controlled, as Del Norte sits in half guard. Del Norte works his foot free and advances to mount. Drezner is trying to escape the mount but Del Norte keeps good control and instead manages to take Drezner's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drezner is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Del Norte tightening his grip on Drezner, looking for the choke. Del Norte has got one arm under Drezner's chin. This could be trouble... Drezner trying to control the other hand but Del Norte gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Drezner has tapped out! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Fantinaz Del Norte! A very excited looking Fantinaz Del Norte rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. The defeated Zak Drezner had this to say: 'Would like to congratulate my opponent for an amazing fight he's a warrior and he deserved to win tonight i have no excuses i lost so im just going to have to suck it up and come back more focused and stronger for my next fight thank you '.
