Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Grove lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ross at a distance.
Ross fails with a takedown attempt.
Grove swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Grove connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ross's hands.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ross.
Grove looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ross is fending him off so far but Grove persists. Nope, Ross circles away and we're back to standing.
Ross drops Grove with a right and a left! Ross comes rushing in but Grove regains his composure and manages to keep Ross in guard.
Grove is rocked!
It looks like Jake Grove has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ross is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Oh Grove is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Ross holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Ross tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Grove smiles and moves away.

Ross throws a sloppy head kick and Grove moves out of range easily.

Grove shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ross's guard.
Grove wants to get up but he can't break Ross's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Ross fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Grove sprawls well initially but Ross persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

and Ross counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ross drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ross jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ross wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Grove, who protects the arm well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A head kick misses from Ross.
Grove gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ross makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Grove shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Grove was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ross regains half guard.

Ross is pressing down on Grove's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Alix Ross comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ross has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
